Although not strictly anything to do with Canucks Abroad, I wanted to add what little additional exposure I could to the Montreal to MLS Petiton currently doing the rounds.

I actually think that Montreal is extremely well positioned to join MLS before expansion stop, and although my loyalties lie in the West to Vancouver, I know that the Toronto/Montreal rivalry would be an oustanding boon to the league.

The reaction to the new Canada Cup shows that the passion and rivalry is there, and if this is something that could be brought to MLS on a seasonal basis then everyone wins.

So, stick your name on the petition and help expand Canada's FIFA Division 1 footprint. That's only going to help the game here, help attract more of the talent back home and hopefully further empower the clubs that are actually helping soccer in Canada.

Then we can see what we can do about getting the Whitecaps in!
