Chivas has offically announced at the pre-season's 11th hour, the trade of 2nd year striker John Cunliffe to San Jose in exchange for Canadian internaitonal defender/midfielder Chris Pozniak.

Pozniak is expected to replace the injured Alex Zotinca who is likely out for the entire MLS season with knee damage. In return, SJ get another attacking option, albeit another inexperienced one. Still, they needed some extra options up top with only Gavin Glinton and Kei Kamara in their squad. There's also a story suggesting Claudio Suarez's Father has passed away, and that he is in Mexico. That would likely see Lawson Vaughn move to DC with Pozniak slotted straight in at DR.
It's a late, late trade....but what are your thoughts? Is this a good move for Poz? He was likely to see lots of minutes under Yallop in SJ, but he appears to have a window of opportunity in LA at Chivas, and has in a heart beat moved from the expected last placed team in the West to the team that finished top in the West a year ago.
